My name is Connor Malatesta and I am a North Carolina licensed CPA. Before starting my own practice, I was an auditor for a top 20 CPA firm whose main service lines were construction, manufacturing, and insurance. Now that I am no longer an auditor I can actually help my small business clients rather than tell you that you're doing things wrong but unable to give specifics. My goal is to provide you the best value for your dollar. I am less expensive than most other CPAs out there and more experienced and educated than most other bookkeepers, striking a happy medium between the two perfect for those that don’t want a bargain bookkeeper but also don’t want to pay top dollar for a 20 year CPA. I specialize in assisting small to medium size businesses that have been in operation to clean up their accounting and improve their processes and workflows. Fortunately, my audit backgrounds mean that, when it comes to my bookkeeping and reconciliation work, I find that work far quicker and easier to perform myself than it was to audit on the backend. My biggest selling point is that as I perform work for you, I cannot help but offer advice and insight based on the information that I review. In an audit, you spend so much time reviewing financial information and supporting documentation in order to draw conclusions on the entity as a whole that it's practically second nature for me to do the same thing even when doing just a simple back reconciliation. I offer services starting with QuickBooks/Xero set-up, payroll, regular transaction entry, account reconciliations (bank, credit cards, debt balances, etc.), to financial analysis of your company, key performance indicator review, and general business consulting, and of course tax filing and consulting services and financial statement preparation Education: Master's in Accountancy and Bachelor's in Accounting and Computer Science from Wake Forest University.
