In my most recent professional experience with Study.com, I produce content for new adults and adults seeking undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degrees. This has provided an opportunity for me to polish my educational writing skills and gain a deep understanding of elegantly crafting content for a specific audience. Prior to working at Study.com, I spent five years at BAYADA Home Health Care, where I began in the Information Technology department. As their technical writer and policy expert, it was my job to make confusing topics easy to understand. This often involved becoming an expert in new topics, and I deeply enjoyed the process of discovering accurate sources, absorbing the information, and compiling it into digestible tools and guidelines for my colleagues. When I transitioned to BAYADA’s Communications department, I had the incredible opportunity to expand my expertise, sharpen my writing skills, and take on responsibility for huge bodies of information. In particular, I led and managed all processes for creating our weekly newsletter, from editing more than 30 articles each week to uploading and formatting all content to make it look and sound amazing. Additionally, I created, documented, and trained my colleagues in new, streamlined processes; managed and reported on traffic data; mentored my fellow editors; and collaborated with content submitters to ensure it was both relevant and entertaining.
