Summary The Undergrad Intern will work closely with a multidisciplinary team responsible for the Incoming Raw Material Operations Improvement activities of Amgen's Supply Chain Department. The candidate will be working with all the functions within AML Supply Chain. In addition, the candidate will support any optimization projects related to the Incoming Area that will help increase efficiency in the Incoming area. The selected candidate will begin on June 2019. The Undergrad Intern will apply the skills learned at the university in the pharmaceutical industry and learn new ones from hands on experience of work assignment. Key skills include but are not limited to: communication, planning, organization, problem solving, team-working, data monitoring etc. This role will work and/or support real projects under supervision and guidance of highly skilled professionals that will help student to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical field. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Complete Yellow Belt Projects at the Incoming Raw Material Area and Sanitization Improvement Project Provides data analysis and interpretation, and assesses impact of the data on the project Develops and follows timelines for completing project team work Basic Qualifications Be in the process of earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology or Sciences Have completed at least 2 years of college education At least 3.20 GPA (General) Be enrolled in school Not yet graduated Pursuing an applicable degree or course of studies Bilingual Preferred Qualifications Be enroll in school under a Coop program Strong technical writing skills Good interpersonal skills Able to work with minimum supervision Well Organized Meet milestones and deliver high quality results Enthusiastic about learning new concepts and work processes Proficient in the following software: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point Amgen is committed to unlocking the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative human therapeutics.
