General Purpose: Develop and implement CTE programming to provide equal access and opportunity for all GOAL students to achieve success and post-secondary career readiness.

CTE Program Development and Implementation

  • Participate in the development of the pathway options to be included in the GOAL s CTE programming
  • Participate in the development and submission of the CTE program approvals
  • Work with staff, students, and families to understand our CTE programming and the benefits provided to GOAL students
  • Assist the counseling teams with identification of potential students
  • CTE Curriculum and Instruction

    Curriculum Development

  • Develop and maintain role specific professional development programming for staff using GOAL s curriculum and learning platforms
  • Provide role specific professional development on GOAL s curriculum and learning platforms throughout the state
  • Provide support to teachers participating in a teacher induction program, as needed
  • Quality Courses and Instruction

  • Develop and support GOAL s quality course structure and instruction guidelines for CTE courses
  • Implement effective online, blended, and face-to-face instructional strategies through the CTE courses
  • Implement school-improvement strategies including differentiated instruction and continuous progress monitoring through the CTE courses
  • CTE Program Maintenance and Reporting
    Program Maintenance

  • Develop and implement CTE programs that will provide the opportunity for students to earn industry recognized certifications
  • Support the development of policies, procedures, manuals, and standards; plan, review and support activities in accordance with program objectives and goals
  • Support compliance with policies and procedures, statutes, and rules under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act of 2006 and the Career and Technical Act CRS 23-8-101.
  • Program Reporting

  • Participate in the development, collection, organization, analysis, and preparation of materials in preparation for Perkins and CTA reporting each year
  • Minimum Requirements:

    Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Education or related field required
  • Colorado Teaching license and CTE endorsement required
  • Master s Degree in Education or related field preferred
  • Experience:

  • Five years of experience working as a teacher in a school required
  • Two years of experience with Career and Technical Education required
  • Two years of experience working with at-risk students preferred
  • Two years of experience with online teaching preferred
  • Or other background demonstrating application of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Demonstrated work history or ability to effectively teach, coach, mentor teachers/educators
  • Proven ability to design and deliver learning activities that are effective for all types of learners
  • Solid background using excellent interpersonal, organizational, time-management, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable working with technology. Able to competently and consistently apply problem- solving skills towards technology issues and communicate solutions to others.
  • Well-versed in conflict resolution skills. Ability to mediate conflicts (e.g., between students, staff, parents, or community members) while promoting school core values
  • Has a demonstrated history of understanding the benefits of continuous learning and takes personal responsibility for professional development
  • Prior/current positions reflect the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding students, families, and coworkers
  • Ethical, honest, and good-humored
